The eccentric performer, whose real name is Herbert Buckingham Khaury was born in Manhattan and died less than 5 months later in Minnesota at the age of 64. Married 3 times, he was known for his unusual falsetto, vibrato vocal rendition of the song `Tiptoe Thru The Tulips,` while accompanying himself on the ukulele.
