Description

What is now the Duboce bikeway, which connects the Lower Haight, a stretch known as `The Wiggle` with Downtown San Francisco through Golden Gate Park to the beach, is San Francisco`s very first bicycle and pedestrian only stretch of road. The Wiggle itself was originally one of the creeks that ran through old San Francisco. This mural by Mona Caron traces the car jammed roads of downtown San Francisco past this very location to avoid the steep hills the city is famous for, and down to the beach.
