Description
Originally built in 1854 by William Ranlett for his personal family home. This retaining wall, itself a San Francisco landmark, was added in 1867. Eventually bought by a third couple who were divorced in 1897, with the California Community Law of the day, the house was literally split in half, with the upper half being moved to another location.
