Class 57 arriving Windermere Lakelander train #121194282
Description
West Coast Railways ran passenger trains on the Lakes Line with 6 services a day in each direction between Windermere and Oxenholme after Northern withdrew their services and replaced them with buses until 2nd July 2018. The Department of Transport met the cost of running the services with passengers being carried free of charge. The trains were provided by West Coast Railways using vintage stock, with class 37, 37669, and class 57, 57316, top and tailing the train on Thursday 21st June 2018. Here 57316 is at the front of the train arriving at Windermere station with 2Z09, the 16.35 Oxenholme to Windermere.
