China Beach San Francisco, 15. #121649885
Description
San Francisco`s China Beach is a small, postage stamp of a beach, named for the Chinese fishermen who used to fish and camp out there. Down a steep cliff and tucked in between two rock walls, it remains fairly secluded to this day. Due to the tides in this area, and the lack of life guards, swimming is strongly not recommended. Also, the showers/restrooms are now permanently closed. Despite all that, it is still a beautiful area to walk, still and, during low tide, look for the marine life. And in season, whales and dolphins.A hidden gem of San Francisco
