Description
Rush Scirpus L. - a genus of plants belonging to the family ciborowatych sedges, currently counting about 35 species, two of which occur naturally in Poland. The typical species is Scirpus sylvaticus L. In the past, this category included a number of ciborowatts that today belong to different types of this family. In colloquial nomenclature, the name rushes often means different species of earth-water plants and hygrophytes with tubular shoots: sits, peregrins, pus, sprouts.
