The submerged ruins the villa protiro, or prothyrum villa. One of the lost wonders of Baiae, fashionable Roman resort town where numerous emperors owned villas from 100 BC to 500 AD. Located front of present day Baia, comune of Bacoli, north of Naples. This site is particularly famous for large and ornate mosaics.
