Happy Songkran Festival #123354441
Description
The Songkran Festival originated in India. With the deepening of Buddhism in the Dai area, the Songkran Festival has become a national custom that has been passed down for hundreds of years. At the festival, the Yi people, men, women and children wear festive costumes, while the women pick a pair of clear water to wash the dust for the Buddha statue, and seek the blessing of the Buddha. After the `Bath Buddha` was completed, people began to splash water on each other, expressing blessings, hoping to wash away the disease and disaster with holy water, in exchange for a happy and happy life.
