Description
This is the image of the aftermath of a fierce wildfire that has destroyed a juniper forest in the California mountains. The brilliant winter sun lights up the ash covered ground. The destruction is still very evident six months after the wildfire. The scene is one of utter desolation, all the plants are dead. However there is hope. Nature will repair itself from the ashes that will be fertilizer for the new growth, but it will take a very long time. The blazing sun intensifies the stark look of the damage.
