Jasmine can be eitherÃÂ deciduousÃÂ & x28;leaves falling in autumn& x29; orÃÂ evergreenÃÂ & x28;green all year round& x29;, and can be erect, spreading, or climbingÃÂ shrubsÃÂ andÃÂ vines. Their leaves are born, opposite or alternate. They can be simple, trifoliate, or pinnate. The flowers are typically around 2.5ÃÂ cm & x28;0.98ÃÂ in& x29; in diameter. They are white or yellow in color, although in rare instances they can be slightly reddish. The flowers are borne inÃÂ cymoseÃÂ clusters with a minimum of three flowers, though they can also be solitary on the ends of branchlets. Each flower has about four to nineÃÂ petals, twoÃÂ locules, and one to fourÃÂ ovules. They have twoÃÂ stamensÃÂ with very short filaments. TheÃÂ bractsare linear or ovate. TheÃÂ calyxÃÂ is bell-shaped.ÃÂ
