Description
Saint-Apollinaire is a small commune, located on a slope on the right bank of the Durance, near the reservoir of Serre-Ponçon. The village lies on the southeastern flank of the Pic de Chabrières, one of the most southerly peaks of the Massif des Ecrins. Around a small church on rock, the village is in a sunny spot, unaffected by northern winds. The territory of the municipality is typical of the Alps, suitable for agriculture, enjoying a balcony position, south facing, above the lake.
