HSB Turning Torso - skyscraper in Malmö, Sweden, located on the Swedish side of the Straits of Øresund. The building was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and officially opened on August 27, 2005. The height of the 54-storey building is 190 meters. Upon completion, it became the highest residential building in Scandinavia and the second tallest in Europe after the 264-meter Triumph Palace building in Moscow. Before the construction of this building, the tallest building in Malmö was the 82-meter Kronprinz building Swedish Kronprinsen. The prototype of the building was the sculpture of Santiago Calatrava `Twisting Torso` from English - `Twisted Torso`.
