Zadar is the economic and cultural center of northern Dalmatia and is the fifth largest city in Croatia. The city is rich with many interesting monuments, among which are remains of defensive walls. Part of these historic walls with the entrance to the City Park can be seen on the Five Wells Square, which was erected in the 16th century, on which there are five wells of drinking water that operated until 1838.
