Polovtsian women - monumental stone statues of Polovtsy Kipchaks, Kumanians, monuments of sacred art of the IX-XIII centuries. To date, more than two thousand have been preserved, mainly located on the territory of Ukraine and Southern Russia. Symbolized their ancestors and were placed in specially constructed sanctuaries for them. They were usually built on the tops of high burial mounds or hills.
