Description
A Rubber Ducky official pulls open the chute to begin the race while pets and families watch eagerly at the rubber ducks at the 16th Rubber Ducky Festival. The annual fundraiser is sponsored by the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, to support the Center`s mission to provide primary health care services to unserved and underserved residents of Santa Clarita. California Participants adopt a duck on-line or at the free family festival for $5.00 per entry. Children can opt to decorate their ducks prior to the races. Several races occur throughout the day with over 5,000 rubber ducks racing down from a man made pond into a waterway to a chute, competing for one of the cash grand prizes of $2,000, $1,000 and $500. In addition to the rubber duck races, the festival includes a food court area, non-profit community partners, a stage and program filled with local talent and performers, and a âââ¬Ã
âKid Zoneâââ¬Ã area, complete with a rock climbing wall, face-painting, air bouncer, games,and other activities.
