Eagle sits on swamp tree branch hidden in the fog #129426385
Description

An eagle`s eye is almost as large as a human`s, but its sharpness is at least four times that of a person with perfect vision. Accipitridae, it takes five years for a bald eagle to attain solid white head and tail feathers. Eagles are partial to heavily wooded areas near water. Tall trees for perching are a must and they love a fish dinner. Despite their fierce image, bald eagles are actually quite timid and opportunistic. Since their primary prey is fish, bald eagles are sometimes called sea eagles, though they will take some mammals, waterfowl, seabirds and carrion, especially during winter. Bald eagles are wholly North American, and currently are found in every state except Hawaii, as well as throughout Canada. Eagles prefer undisturbed areas near large lakes and reservoirs, marshes and swamps, or stretches along rivers where they can find open water and their primary food, fish.
