Description
In fertilized area, with disturbed earth. Group of numerous specimens. The hat of the largest specimens is around 20 cm in diameter. It presents concentric, woolly, bulky scales. Smooth central zone, covered with a single scale of good size and irregular star shape. The sheets are cream colored. The meat is white, plentiful. Foot without scales, brownish spotted practically from the base to near the laminae, with bulbous thickening very pronounced at the base. It has a ring strongly attached to the foot at the top. The upper face is smooth, with the jagged edge, of brownish color; while the lower part shows a double halo, being the closest to the base more regular, and lighter in color. The foot is hollow and reddens the cut or scrapes it. Strong, pleasant, persistent odor. Pleasant taste, nuts.
