Description
The Old Town House is an example of a late 12th - early 13th century town house, the only of its kind surviving in Suzdal and only one of several in the whole of Russia. It is believed that the house was once used as a bread shop or a tavern. The Our Lady of Smolensk Church was built between 1696 and 1706 in what was then the settlement sloboda of Skuchilikha which was owned by the Spaso-Yevfimiev Monastery.
