Description
Pictured is a vacationing Korean woman standing next to the memorial obelisk to Vilem Slavata of Chum. It is located in Garden on Ramparts, under Ludvik`s wing, which protrudes transversely out of the Old Royal Palace. It marks the place where he fell when thrown out of the window above during the defenestration of Prague which marked the beginning of the thirty years war. He and two others were thrown out the 3rd floor window by angry protestants, but survived the 70 foot fall. He was a Catholic Lords Regent.
