Leaning Tower of Pisa or the Tower of Pisa is the campanile, bell tower of the city`s cathedral. Construction started in the 12th century by the architects Guglielmo, Bonanno Pisano, Diotisalvi and was completed in the 14th century. The bell-chamber was built by Tommaso di Andrea Pisano. It is a example of Romanesque architecture Pisan Romanesque style. Galileo Galilei dropped cannonballs from the tower to demonstrate that their speed of descent was independent of their mass.
