Description
Pictured is the top of The Palace of the former Municipal Insurance Comapny, north side of Old Town Square, Prague, Czech Republic. The Palace of the former Municipal Insurance Company is a complex of neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings, built between 1899 and 1901 according to the project by the architect Osvald Polivka. The yellow building is the wider part. On the arch gables over the 4th floor are mounted sculptures called Alarm call and Fire fighting by Bohuslav Schnirch. In the arch of the large gable there is a mosaic by FrantiÃâ¦Ã¡ek Urban. Above the main entrance arch the emblem of Prague is embossed. The ornamental stucco decoration of the facade was created by FrantiÃâ¦Ã¡ek Kraumann.
