Disused Grain Silos. Shelbourne Victoria Australia #133072514
Description
All that remains of the Shelbourne Railway station a few small buildings and these grain silos. The Shelbourne line was a branch line that ran from the now historic town of Maldon, and was visited once a week by a train that ran from Castlemaine to Maldon then onto Shelbourne. The line was abandoned in 1967 following a major wild fire which destroyed many of the bridges along the line. Shelbourne now is one of the many ghost-towns of rural Australia
