Description
Bridge over Lac de Serre-Poncon, a lake in southeast France and one of the largest artificial lakes in western Europe. The lake gathers the waters of the Durance and the Ubaye rivers, flowing down through the Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes du Sud to the Rhône River. When Serre-Ponçon lake, was created, the rising waters eventually covered the old village of Savines, and so in the 1960`s Savines le Lac was built. It is a smart agreeable village situated close to the lake.
