Description
Pictured is one of twenty statues on the fa̮̤ade of the Neue Burg or New Castle, part of the Hofburg Palace, Vienna, Austria. The statues were erected between 1895 and 1901 after a plan by the art historian, Albert Ilg. The Belief statue represents Christianization. The figure is probably St. Severinus of Noricum, 5th Century.
