Fremantle was established in 1829 at the mouth of the river Swan. It has a long and rich heritage, starting as a agricultural colony of Great Britain it later boomed during the years of the gold rush starting in the 1890`s. This is where many immigrants arrived from Europe during the early days of the colony. Fremantle has a great Cappuccino Strip of cafe`s, restaurants and bars. This is where we catch the ferry to the holiday island of Rottnest.
