Christophene Fruit On Vine Stock Photography

Green Sechium Edule, also known as cho-cho, christophine, and chayote, suspended by its stem from a vine in the forefront of its broad leaf in filtered sunlight highlighting the green-yellow pigmentation of the leaves. The fruit which is consumed as vegetable, is of pear shape with vertical segmented grooves to both sides and the lower end. It belongs to the cucurbitaceae family, of the cucurbitales order, an Angiosperms.
