Description

Tea-picking dance originates from the working life of tea village. A group of girls wearing colored clothes, embroidered aprons, holding tea baskets, singing `December Tea Picking Song` and singing and dancing, describe the delightful image of the tea picking girl on the hillside, walking on the path, wearing tea bushes, picking tea with both hands, chasing and throwing butterflies on the way back from the rich tea harvest. The whole tea-picking dance, with its lively music and graceful dancing, reminds people of the vivid scene of spring in the windy and sunny tea country. Tea-picking dance is characterized by simple and generous movements and a sense of humour. Tea groom often uses shaking legs and bending knees to make short pile movements, and the dance steps are light and unrestrained. The ruler in hand can be used as a hoe in the performance of `pioneering dance`. It can be used as a bellows in the performance of fried tea. Its action is humorous and interesting. Tea girl`s movements are mostly shy, subtle and light steps. The color fans in the hands fluttered together lightly, like clouds, willow catkins, graceful dancing posture, with thousands of manners, fully showing the innocence of girls, lively and lovely. Tea-picking dances also sing and dance, usually two or four sentences a song. With drum music, the scene atmosphere is warm and entertaining.
