Description
Coconut shells, i.e. hard cover of a coconut are stored in a stack in a village in Kerala, India. Coconut shells have a great demand. In addition to being used in handicraft industry to make interesting pieces of art, coconut shells have various other uses. Coconut shell charcoal is used abundantly as a domestic and industrial fuel and is much superior to other variants obtained from other sources like wood. Coconut shell powder is used extensively in the manufacturing of mosquito coils and incense sticks. It is also used in plywood in the manufacturing of resin glue.
