Osprey On The Tombigbee River - Alabama Stock Image

Ospreys, also known as `fish hawks` frequent freshwater, brackish and saltwater areas. Like Bald Eagles, they mate for life and construct large nests. This male osprey was photographed checking out his surroundings near the nest where his mate is sitting on their eggs. The locale was Lake Aliceville on the Tombigbee River near Pickensville near the Alabama and Mississippi state line.
