The church and impressive spire of St Marys & St Gabriel is in the village of Harting in West Sussex, UK. The large cruciform church is mostly early 14c, but there are signs of earlier work, which is possibly 11c and 13c. A fire in 1576 was the cause of much rebuilding, including the roofs.The church stands at the southern end of the village under the Downs. There have been many alterations over the centuries, the last being in 2010 when the extension with large glass windows was added, which can be seen on the left of my image.
