Aerial view of the white horse at Cherhill Wiltshire with the nearby Landsdowne Monument. The white horse dates from 1780 and is made of chalk. It is the third oldest of such white horses in England. The monument was erected in 1845 by the Marquis of Landsdown to commemorate Sir William Petty.
