Williamsburg Brougham 1841 Carriage #145167896
Description
This carriage was rode by the 9th President of the United States, William Henry Harrison on his inauguration day down Pennsylvania Ave. I took this picture to show the details of the black leather upholstery with elegant silk material lining the door and stitching the seat. This was a popular carriage at the time made in England and eventually made in the United States. My focus was on the door details. This is located at the Penrose Heritage Museum at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
