Description
1895 Shooting Trap Carriage. This is a two-horse drawn carriage. Metal frame and wheels are painted red and yellow. Body and seat cushions are upholstered in brown-colored leather. Possibly used for hunting. A shooting trap, also known as a hunting break, included a kennel for hunting dogs. A box between the seats could hold the hunters` lunch or captured game. This is located at the Penrose Heritage Museum at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. taken April 17, 2019
