The modern bridge was built in 1957-1960 and is proudly called `Borodino bridge` in memory of those who took part in the Patriotic war of 1812. This new bridge was built on the site of the old wooden one, which would have turned a hundred years old. The name `Borodino` bridge received in the 100th anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic war of 1812. Currently, the Borodino bridge can no longer fully meet the transport load, plans for the construction of the second bridge are being considered. In 2012, in honor of the 200th anniversary of the battle of Borodino, commemorative plaques were installed on the bridge.
