Landers was the first Ennis service member to lose his life in World War I. The statue is part of a monument for soldiers who died in World War I in the Veteran`s Memorial Park in Ennis, Texas. Ennis Veterans Memorial Park was dedicated to those who gave up their lives to protect the freedoms we all enjoy. The Memorial Monument Honors veterans from each 20th and 21st Century United States Military Conflict.
