Description
Borodinsky bridge located in the town of Kamyshin, Volgograd region. It is a road and pedestrian bridge that connects the southern and Northern parts of the city.Its construction began in 1957 by architect A. F. Boldyrev on the site of the old wooden bridge. The construction was supervised by engineer J. G. Taranov. At the end of 1959 the first tests were carried out.The bridge is 250 meters long, 10 meters wide and 40 meters high. Also during its construction it became necessary to build dams on both banks of the river Kamyshinka. The entire engineering design rests on 4 pillars, each of which scored at the 96 piles.
