Valle de la Barranca is a mountain valley located at the foot of the Bola del Mundo Alto de Guarramillas 2265 m and La Maliciosa 2227 m, in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range belonging to the Central System. Administratively it is within the municipal boundaries of Navacerrada and Becerril de la Sierra, in the northwest of the Community of Madrid, Spain. In it there is a thick forest of wild pine through which runs a mountain river, the Samburiel - affluent of the Manzanares River - reupholstered in two small dams, and that flows into the Navacerrada Reservoir.
