Zarautz, Guipuzcoa / Spain - May 21 2019: Joan etorrian, project is chestnut oak wood and acacia debris from boats collected in #148360381
Description
The material used in this project is chestnut oak and acacia wood from the remains of boats collected in the sea and its surroundings. The installation of the sculpture is motivated by the stitching to the central piece by means of galvanized nails that are used in the construction of boats. The base of the sculpture is formed by stones of pebbles of similar size and color gray collected at the edge of the sea. According to the author, the idea of sculpture comes from the idea that everything comes and goes. `Men and women are or they walk, they come and go. The sea too. In each coming, the tide always brings something and in its repeated come and bring, it is forming a lot of matter. The sea does not love them either and returns them to us. `
