Description
Xi`an Qujiang is known as one of the first in Chinese classical gardens. Qin Shi, here opened the Royal Forbidden Court - Yichun Court, and built a famous palace - Yichun Xiayuan. In the 3rd year of Kaihuang AD 583, Emperor Wendi officially moved into the new capital. Emperor Wendiââ¬â¢s evil songs were unlucky, and he ordered Gao Song the prime minister of Emperor Wendi to replace the royal garden with a new name. One night, Gao Song suddenly remembered the lotus flower in the Qujiang pool, which was very red and beautiful. The lotus flower was called Furong, and the Qufu River was called Qufu Garden. Since then, it has been called the Furong Garden, and there is Furong Lake. When the Qujiang New District was built on a large scale in 2000, it was originally named `Chang`an Furong Garden`. Later, due to the emphasis on Tang culture, it was finally named `Da Tang Furong Garden`.
