The strawberry, whose scientific name Fragaria ananassa, consists of a pseudofruit of the Rosacease family. It belongs to the family of rosacea, which is the same to which the apple and the roses belong. Its origin comes from Europe, where there are records of its cultivation in France and England from Century XV. The strawberry has a small size, reddish color, fleshy consistency and a flavor that mixes the sweet and the sour. In Brazil, the cultivation of this herbaceous plant is made mainly in the South and Southeast and is a fruit very appreciated by the Brazilians.
