Description
Qinghai Province is located in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is inland and far from the sea. It belongs to the continental climate of the plateau. Its climatic characteristics are: long sunshine time and strong radiation; long winter and cool summer; large daily temperature difference and small annual difference; less precipitation, large regional differences, more rain in the east, dry and windy in the west, anoxic and cold. The annual average temperature is affected by the topography, and its general distribution pattern is high in the north and low in the south. The average annual temperature in Qinghai province ranges from - 5.1 to 9.0 C, and in January the coldest month the average temperature is - 17.4 to - 4.7 C, of which Qilian Tole is the coldest area; in July the hottest month, the average temperature is between 5.8 and 20.2 C, and Minhe is the hottest area. The average annual temperature of Qilian Mountains and Qingnan Plateau is less than 0 C, accounting for more than 2/3 of the total area of the province. The annual average annual temperature of Huangshui, Yellow River Valley and the average annual temperature in the warmer eastern part of the province is about 6-9 C.
