Pictured are reliefs in the entrance lobby of the The Pinacota Ambrosiana, the Ambrosian art gallery in Milan, Italy. Named after Ambrose, the patron saint of Milan, it was founded in 1609 by Cardinal Federico Borromeo. The reliefs were eventually used by the artist to create painted reliefs on arches.
