The Drawing Room at Sledmere House, East Yorkshire. Many of the furnishings are of the George III period and were made for the room including the giltwood furniture made in 1797. The rosewood centre table is from the Regency period.The painting reflected in the arched mirror shows family members who lived from the later 1700s to the mid 1800s.Sledmere is an 18th century Georgian house that was reduced to just a shell after a disastrous fire in 1911. The house was rebuilt between 1913-1918 with further changes taking place during the Edwardian years.
