The 1929 Ford Model `A` Wooden Boat-Tailed Speedster, 5. #152897905
Description
The Ford Model `A` was their second successful automobile, and by 1929 were making nearly one million per year. According to story, Ford`s own engineers and designers, wanting a break from the routine, started to play around with body designs, and came up with this `Boat-Tail` style. Although they made a few dozen or so in metal, only two in wood, when Ford himself came by and simply told them to `get rid of them`. Fortunately and with forethought, some were saved. From the 2019, 22nd Annual Carpinteria, California Rods and Roses show.
