As with many early American automobile makers, the Studebaker brothers had started with making carriages for horses. And they enjoyed much success along the way. By 1897 they were already looking to enter the car market. Again, they enjoyed early success. But as time and technologies changed, and Studebaker was not keeping up, they were loosing market shares faster and faster, The last American made Studebaker was finished 31 December, 1963 for the 1964 model year, and the last Canadian one, finished on 17 March, 1966.This Two-Tone 1959 Studebaker Pick Up Truck is one prime example of all their work.From the 2019, 22nd Annual Carpinteria, California Rods and Roses show.
