Description
The fertile stems are not branched and therefore do not have whorls of twigs. They bear an oblong terminal spike composed of sporangiophores which produce green spores. the horsetails are rich in mineral elements, especially in silica3, but also in potassium, and in calcium, it has a remineralizing and diuretic effect.
