Persepolis, Apadana Palace The greatest palace built on the western side of Persepolis by Darius the Great. The work began in 515 BC and they were completed by his son Xerxes 30 years later. Tha hall had originally 72 columns, 19 meters tall built in shape of square, each side 60 metres long. The king used it for official audiences.
