Description
Kungliga Slottet, Stockholm`s Royal Palace, is a large Baroque palace built in the early 18th century at Gamla Stan district.Rikssalen is the Hall of State of the palace. Carl HÃÂ¥rleman was the architect in charge of the room`s interior design. The room was ready for the Parliamentary Opening of 1755 and was where parliamentary meetings where held under the chairmanship of the King. The silver throne was a gift to Queen Kristina from Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie for her coronation in 1650. It was made by a goldsmith in Augsburg, Germany.
