Italian Garden At Trentham Estate Editorial Photo

At Trentham Estate, near Stoke-on-Trent, there is an Italian Garden where the planting is designed within the historic framework of Sir Charles Barry’s original Italianate Garden of the 19th Century. The planting utilises hot bold colours towards the top of the garden, where this photograph was taken from, with more subtle and lighter colours as the planting approaches the lake. There are 80,000 perennials planted in The Italian Garden, in over 400 different varieties, in 70 flower beds.
