Parapenter near Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc massif #156275554
Description
The Massif du Mont-Blanc is a mountain range in the Alps, located mostly in France and Italy, named after Mont Blanc 4,808 metres 15,774 ft, the highest point in western Europe and the European Union. The Aiguille du Midi 3,842 m 12,605 ft is part of it. The Aiguille summit contains a panoramic viewing platform, a café and a gift shop. The name `Aiguille du Midi` translates as Needle of the Mid-day, and it has been suggested this may be because the sun appears over its summit around noon when seen from one of the town`s churches.
